Big Match Build Up

When Valencia arrive at they bridge for tonight’s match they know that The Blues will do everything possible to get the win that sends them into the knockout-stages of the Uefa Champions League. Both teams’ future in the competition will be decided in the upcoming ninety minutes.

German’s Bayer Leverkusen took control of Group E after their last minute winner on match day 5 against Chelsea. With both Chelsea and Valencia predicting a Bayer win tonight in Belgium, they will go into battle for second  – final qualifying – spot in the group. A goalless draw or victory is needed by Andre Villas-Boas’ mean while a score draw or victory would see the Spaniards progress.

Chelsea have never been eliminated at this stage of the prestigious competition and manager AVB is not even considering such scenario:
“We cannot speak about going out,” said the manager.

“We just have to focus on the game. I have not thought about it and what it would mean to the club.”

Meanwhile our opponents’ manager, Unai Emery has compared the match to a “final” emphasising its importance.

“This is a final, Chelsea v Valencia, and one of the two teams will have to go out,” he said.

“We are going to go there with only victory in mind. We are aware that 1-1 or any sort of score draw will see us through, so depending on the situation we can change the way we play.

“We need to be able to stop Chelsea from creating chances.”

Heading into this match with only three wins from seven, our form has been anything but consistent. Valencia in the other hand come to Stamford Bridge with an impressive seven wins from eight – there only defeat coming from Jose Mouriniho’s Real Madrid.

This game will be a close one, and with Chelsea only needing a goalless draw I just hope they don’t go out and play with 11 men behind the ball. If they do I can see Valencia winning unfortunitly. But if Chelsea go out looking for the win or play attacking football I think they can do it.

If Chelsea do win tonight though I would suggest betting on Chelsea against Man City in the EPL. The game is on monday and you can find out more about EPL betting on this site.
