After a second half performance against Man Utd in the cup, Chelsea hoped to continue from that performance wagainst Swansea, but that wasn’t the case. In a game that if Chelsea won would have kept them at the top of the league, Chelsea couldn’t manage to hold on to there 1 goal lead and stay at the top of the English Premiership.

Moses open the scoring on the 60th minute to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead. However, Pablo Hernández scored on the 87 minute to take it to 1 each, which also didn’t leave enough time for Chelsea to take the lead again. The game in total was a pretty tight game. Chelsea had a little more of the possession but not enough that would make the difference. Shot at goal where even with both teams having 7 shots on goal, how ever Chelsea did have more on target with 4 shot on target to Swansea’s 2. But overall the game was very even.

The best thing that could be taken from this game and the cup game against Manchester United, is the performance’s of Victor Moses. We knew he was a good player before he joined Chelsea, but never knew if he could compete at the very top level or blend into the Chelsea squad well. But in the last 2 games, Moses has been the best player on the pitch both times. He is starting to look like a very good signing, plus he has time on his side.

Shakhtar Donetsk come to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday for the Champions League, and this is one game that Chelsea can’t afford to drop points with group E so tight. Chelsea go into the game 3 points behind Shakhtar and a point above Juventus. But I believe Chelsea have the quality over Shakhtar, and if I liked betting on Soccer (which I do) I would be putting my money on Chelsea to win Half Time/Full Time. I think Chelsea will start fast, and take no chances of letting Shakhtar into the game, especially at Stamford Bridge.

So hopefully Chelsea can put the poor overall performance against Swansea behind them, and go into the game against Shakhtar all guns blazing.
